First Cut of the Season

Woods Bowls Club green has its first 'rotary' cut of the season.

Today a small group of members made the most of the spring sunshine and gave the green an early tidy up. The grass was cut with the new rotary mower, the edges and ditches were tidied, and finally the grass was fertilized and watered in.

This is the earliest in the season we have been able to do this and reflects on the hard work of the club over the last few years to improve the green.

This hard work will continue over the next month or so, with an aim of opening the green on easter weekend.
