Woods Bowling Club continues to improve across the board and the Tuesday Triples League Team added the League Title on Tuesday after a very tough win away to West Mersea (who finished third in the League).
Starting the day 1 point behind Mersea Island who were away to West End, the title would go right to the wire and to the final bowl of the match on both greens.
Whilst Woods were involved in a very tight match with West Mersea, a game that saw one rink win by 7 and the other lose by 5 shots to record a fine away 4-2 win and win by 2 shots overall.
Mersea Island were involved in their own tight match and it was West End who won the match by 2 shots overall to record a 4-2 win over Mersea island.
This meant that Woods Bowling Club successfully won the League by 1 point from Mersea Island which is a fantastic achievement for the club.

Our "B' team came third in the "B" Division and our "C" team finished 5th in the "C" Division.
